Shirdi's Spiritual Significance

Shirdi is most famous as the home of Sai Baba, a revered 19th-century Indian saint. His resting place, the Samadhi Mandir, remains a central landmark visited by devotees from around the world.

Sai Baba considered the nearby Godavari River as holy as the Ganges. The region has birthed and sheltered many saints, and Baba's message of unity — that God is One — continues to guide devotees of every faith.
